My Favorite Place

My favorite place to be is at the beach. I love just relaxing on the sand, listening to the waves crash against the shore and reading whatever book I've brought with me. I grew up around beaches and they are where I always feel the most relaxed.

  1. What a beautiful photo, Jess! India is also home to many beautiful beaches... and there's a famous scene in the Ramayana where the hero Rama gets into an argument with the sea god Varuna about crossing over from India to Lanka (modern Sri Lanka). So, keep an eye out for the famous Rama Setu, or Rama's Bridge; it will be coming up in the epic reading for class soon! And in the Thai version of the story, a mermaid is involved, Suvannamaccha, Golden-Fish.

  2. i agree with you that beaches are the most amazing places to visit just wide ocean honestly my favorite past time at the beach was building castle while my dad gave me life lessons connecting the ananlogy of sand and water and how should I protect and carry out my responsibilities and the decoration is what you portray the world with your personality. I have had many philosophical moments at the beach and getting tan and sipping off some cocktails is the best life you can imagine.

  3. My favorite place is the beach as well:) I definitely share your love of the sound of the waves, and reading on the beach--it's so calming, and what better place is there to read honestly. Where do you normally go to the beach? I'm from CT, so I grew up about half an hour away from Rhode Island beaches, and I have a bunch of smaller ones really close to me in CT. I also enjoy playing games like cards or scrabble on the beach, and bodysurfing/playing out in the waves with my friends or siblings. Especially as we move further into fall, it's always fun to be reminded of summer days by the ocean:)
